Popular Karaoke Songs Sang By The Beatles

If there was one pop group that truly captured the spirit of the swinging sixties, then it was the Beatles, and any karaoke event centred around a sixties revival would be sadly lacking without plenty of popular karaoke songs by the Beatles.
During the years they were active, from 1962 to 1970, the Beatles produced an incredible 214 original compositions. Often their B-side recordings featured hits as well and some of the LPs intended for the American market, differed expensively from British productions. On the first five albums, love featured prominently as a theme which was perhaps no surprise. John Lennon was at the time very much in love with his wife Cynthia, while Paul McCartney, who dated several girls throughout their rise to fame, also embraced the concept of romance. John Lennon's young son Julian also inspired a few songs, for example 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' which originated with a picture he drew in pre-school and 'Hey Jude', an expression of empathy for the boy by Paul McCartney, during his parents' divorce. With Beatle mania sometimes reaching fever pitch, this talented group left a treasure trove of memorable recordings.
Getting to know the Beatles through karaoke videos would be easy, thanks to YouTube. Just a few of the featured videos include 'Let it be', 'All you need is love', 'Yesterday', 'Ticket to Ride', and 'Yellow Submarine'.
After the Beatles split up and the famous four from Liverpool went their own way, their songs have continued to provide joy to fans and encouragement to fellow musicians. The immortal songs can be downloaded from karaoke sites or accessed via YouTube. Many solo hits, particularly of McCartney or Lennon, have also surfaced as popular karaoke choices.
As a solo artist, George Harrison composed 'My Sweet Lord' and 'All those years ago, while Paul McCartney, went from strength to strength, first with his follow-up band Wings and later on his own. Some of his hit songs were 'Mull of Kintyre', 'Pipes of Peace', and 'Band on the Run'. He recorded 'Ebony and Ivory' with Stevie wonder and 'The girl is mine' with Michael Jackson. Both were huge hits.
A song that best captures the wonderful feeling of togetherness that karaoke is supposed to promote, must surely be 'Imagine'. Released in 1971, not long after the Beatles broke up, the song attempts to express the beauty of a world where all the artificial boundaries of society fall away and each human being views his neighbour as a brother and sister, instead of a cause for war and strife. A person can almost imagine the deceased Beatle approving from above every time a karaoke singer chooses to express these optimistic sentiments from among the choice of hundreds of popular karaoke songs.
